The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is the group that controls top level domains or tlds such as .com and .org. They are now sifting through candidates for new Internet suffixes to join those previously approved tlds. Suggestions so far have included .book, .amazon, and .cloud. Of course, Microsoft applied for .microsoft and .xbox. Nine different groups applied for .llc, but surprisingly only two tried for .sex. Here are some of the other proposed domain suffixes:

  • .trump
  • .whyisthisawebsite
  • .com2
  • .piratedgameofthronesepisodes
  • .futility
  • .cryporn
  • .workfromhomescam
  • .heygaryitsmecraigcheckoutthisinternetsuffixigot
