Facebook stock has plummeted by half since the IPO.  Finally, Mark Zuckerberg has decided to take decisive action that will surely pay big dividends for investors:  Hes building a shiny new headquarters facility.

How do we know it will be shiny?  It is being designed by world-renowned shiny-building architect Frank Gehry.  The building above, for example, was designed for a different Internet billionaire Paul Allen.

The new digs will be a fancy warehouse-style building replete with snack bars, couches and micro-kitchens galore, according to AllThingsD.

Gehry also designed shiny buildings like the Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A. and the Guggenheim in Spain.

In the war for the most talented geeks in California, Facebook needs to go to great lengths to keep up with the neighbors.  Twitter most recently moved into a gorgeous new building in San Francisco, while Pinterest is moving its operation up to San Francisco from its former Palo Alto offices.  And it helps to move out from under the shadow of Google and Apple, the two tech giants with some of the fanciest offices in all of the Valley.
